Q1 Week 2 - getting started with camera angles

this is a two-shot where in this medium christlie and Shayna is having a conversation. this close shot is wide enough for two people and is often used to film a conversation such as this one.

This is a high-angle shot where christlie and Shayna battle out their issues. this shot was filmed from high above these two subjects

This is an over-the-shoulder shot where christlie and Shayna are conversing about a shocking event. this shot shows us christlie's point of view but it also includes part of her shoulder/ side of her head in the shot

This is a full shot, this shot captures both christlies and Shayna's entire body from head to toe

This is a close-up shot that focused on an isolated part of christlie (her hand)

This shot filmed christlie against a neutral background trying out for a role in Disney

This is a pan shit in which the camera moved horizontally from Shayna to christlie around a fixed axis in order to illustrate their conversation

this is a title shot where the camera moves from christlie up to Shayna along a vertical axis, as when it looks at a building from bottom to top

this is a follow shot in which the camera followed christlie and Shayna during their game of tag

this is a point of view shot in which you can see my personal viewpoint

Comments

  1. Personally I really enjoyed the point of view shot. This shot represents more of a depth and person closeness towards this person. This honestly shows student life at Lely High School and an onlook on this persons life.

Another shot that I enjoyed was the follow shot. This shows some depth of the hallway but also presents a person going through their day including talking with her friends and walking to their next class.

Another shot includes the tilt shot which shows a person looking up towards a person in order to talk to them. This can show or make the person filming feel smaller and or less important.

  2. I really enjoyed the follow shot. This shot followed the subjects, showing what's going on and also the environment. The emotions that can really be felt are excitement.

I also enjoyed the pan shot. In this shot, the recorder pans from one subject to another so you can see who they're talking to.

Another shot i enjoyed was the over the shoulder shot. In this shot you can see one of the subjects point of view. You can also see the subjects head and part of their shoulder so we know whose pov were looking at.
