simultaneity-contrast-parallelism-symbolism-leitmotif
Shot 1- simultaneity:
in this shot, we can observe that there are two events occurring at the same time. in the first clip, it demonstrates a young lady (myself) in a quiet scenery using her phone. whereas in the second clip in an area behind me, there are two other young ladies arguing. and the third clip demonstrates how both scenes are occurring at the same time which refers to simultaneity.
shot 2- contrast:
in this shot, we can observe a difference between the two clips. in the first clip we can see myself in an empty hallway walking into the classroom. and in the second clip we can see a crowd of people walking out the classroom, and the hallway has many people in it. this demonstrates contrast because there was a difference between the two scenes.
shot 3- parallelism
in this shot, we can see me walking into my room, and the next shot intercuts after i closed the door to me walking out my room with a completely different outfit on. The door would be considered the aspect that brings parallelism within the scene due to the fact that the door never changed.
shot 4-symbolism
in this shot, we can see petals falling down from the tree and withering away to the ground. and in the next clip we can see a young lady with her head down who seems upset. These two clips coincide with each other, because shes withering away as time goes on.
shot 5- leitmotif
in this shot, we can see a difference between two scenes but the same occurrence in both. the first scene, we can see a devious student breaking into another scene and than a wonderful teacher coming in, in order to stop the student. and in the second scene, we can see the same devious student skipping class. within both seen when the teacher was approaching we can hear her heels clicking, and her keys jingling. And everytime those sounds happened, it lead to the student getting in trouble which would represent the leitmotif.
