simultaneity-leitmotif-parallelism
simultaneity:
in this scene, we can observe two different events happening at the same time. first, we can see Hobbs having a conversation with his daughter about the women he was sent to find and protect. and as were viewing the FaceTime call between his daughter, in the background we can also observe the young lady attempting to escape by fighting the gentlemen that was assigned to watch her. the producer used also incorporated a cutaway edit in order to combine the two scenes and highlight the difference. both of these events happen to be occurring in the same time frame, which would represent the concept of a simultaneity shot.
in this scene, we can observe the avengers rounded up in a circle and also mutants on the city skyscrapers getting ready to battle. This scene requires a little background information. For starters, marvel has many theme songs, and effects that signifies different factors and or aspects within the movie. And in this scene, we can hear a musical soundtrack being played within the background, and this specific soundtrack usually coincides with a major battle that is about to occur. and usually, when the avengers, or many marvel character comes together (or even sometimes when they're fighting alone) this sound track plays in the background of that scene. This is an example of leitmotif because this soundtrack is a recurrent theme that plays every time a battle between the avengers and their opposing team happens. not only is this an example of leitmotif but it is also an example of a non-digenetic sound due to the fact that the characters within the scene cannot hear the sound that is being played except the audience.
