WEEK 4- CAMERA ANGLE MOVIE REVIEW

Review of a few Camera Angles in the Movie:
"fast and furious presents: Hobbs and Shaw" (2019)

This is an eye-level shot. In this scene, the audience can obtain a sense of inclusion as if the actor is directly speaking to them. It allows the audience to feel as if they're placed in the scene and they happen to be standing in front of the character. not only did this camera angle and or shot placed us into the scene and made it seem as if we are directly speaking with the actor. but it also emphasized the actor's emotions and highlights the overall meaning of this scene.

this is an oblique and or canted angle shot. In this scene, the camera angle is not parallel with the bottom of the frame, and instead, the camera is tilted. This angle was used in the scene in order to represent a sense of derangement. Before this clip, the vehicle that the actor is seen in busted through a wall and ended up sideways. And this camera angle brings out a dramatic effect within the scene in order to emphasize the action and the disorientation that the scene wants to portray. Also, this camera angle builds up tension and makes the audience feel as if they're in the scene as well.

this is an over-the-shoulder camera angle shot.  In this scene, the actor "shaw" is having a dialogue conversation with his mother. The use of this angle puts the audience in shaws perspective. This could be seen as a point of view shot except, shaw is still in the camera shot. This shot portrayed a sense of confidentiality and closeness between the two actors, not to mention that it allows the audience to be included within the scene, and it makes us feel as if we are having a personal conversation with the mother as well.

this is a reaction shot and can also be seen as an extreme close up-shot. in this scene, the reaction shot builds up a sense of suspense within the audience due to the fact that the actor is reacting to something off-camera that we cannot see yet. not only did the shot evoke a sense of suspense within the audience but the close-up shot emphasizes the actor's reaction to the point where we as the audience can feel and or experience the emotion that the actor is going through.

this is a full shot and can also be seen as a wide shot. there was also a use of a low-angle shot as well. In the scene, the subject's full body from head to toe can be seen. This shot allowed us as the audience to view the body language of the character. Before this scene, the actor's opponent happened to escape after their "battle" ended. and with the inclusion of the full shot angle, we were able to correlate the subject's body language with a sign of defeat. The full shot and the wide shot coincided with each other in order for the character to be visibly seen from head to toe and emphasize the body language. not to mention, that the use of the low-angle shot made the character seem larger than he really is and evoked a sense of dominance or importance within the scene.
